I think this is a side-effect of our change to allow SuperUsers to also be members of a Portal/Site.

One of our developers has identified that the stored procedure that Gets a User by User Name can sometimes return more than one record which can mean that the User gets the wrong PortalID assigned.

Our QA people are currently trying to determine correct reproducible steps so we can fix this.

But in the meantime - the workaround that some users have tried will probably work.
