Hi,

I read that DNN uses the 3-tier architecture, however is it possible to deploy to 3 different servers? Such as the presentation layer in 1 server, the data layer in another server and so on?

DNN modules will typically use a three tier architecture, presentation, business and data layer, but it is not very easy to break up to the application itself from the presentation and the data layer. DNN runs very well with IIS and SQL on the same server, or IIS and SQL on different web servers. You could go with the file system running on a network storage device, the web running on a different server (pointing to the network share) all pointing to a separate database server
