We are using DNN 3.x for our internal Intranet, and would like to pass the user credentials via an IFrame module to call to another web site eg the source for the iframe  would look something like http://my.web.address/mywebpage.aspx?param=param1&user=%loggedindnnusername%

Can you assist / advise how I might be able to acheive this

upgrade to DNN 4 and latest iFrame module version, which supports passing user properties as querystring parameters.

Thanks Leo, but that is not an option at this time - too much testing will neeed to be done and I have no resources to do this at the moment - also we are using older DNN "bought" modules and "Skins" that do not appear to be available in DNN4 yet.

Is it possible to provide the actual HTML/Text string that would be needed to get the USERNAME from any module. I use the term IFRAME genericly, it does not mean we have to be using the DNN IFrame Module every time, perhaps my question isn't clear.

We have a number of independent ASPX Scripts  (outside DNN on other websites) that we keep reusing and which ask the user to enter there details, some are embedded in HTML/Text modules as IFrame tags, some are in the IFrame Module itself, and others are pop-up windows (dialogs). We would like to not need to keep asking the user to enter there EMAIL or USERNAME, and this could be acheived if we could interrogate the logged on user credentials before constructing the HTML for an Iframe and executing the ASPX page.

I await suggestions.
