DNN has a mechanism that handles encryptions. It's not difficult to modify module to use it. However, you will need the same mechanism on the receiving side...

I am not aware of any 3rd party solutions...

OK,

so how do I do that?

what I'm trying to do is login into another web application using an IFrame. So I want to password user id and password but want to encrypt the password and the de-crypt it on the other site to the user gets logged into the app. I know the rules about not passing password via a querystring but I don't know of any other way to do it.

There is nothing wrong, or nothing REALLY wrong if you are passing encrypted params. You would just have to pass values of params to the encrypting routine before returning the final value of SRC attribute of IFrame.

Again, you will have to be able to decrypt that parameter value on the other site using the same methods. So, you have to be able to modify code on that site.

OK, I understand.

so there is no way for me to do it in the IFrame correct? so I will need to write another aspx page that encrypts those values correct? I can't seem to find any modules for dnn that will encrypt the querystring for me.

how would you do this?

thanks for your help
