Gotta say ooops when I said the rights were already set correctly but it still doesn't work. We recently had to start using impersonation on the site due to some internal module development that needs to access network resources and I only set the user up with change on the website and forgot to give it read on the root of the drive on down like you have to do with Network Service. I just completed that and still no go.

Has this issue been addressed in the DNN 4.4.0 upgrade? I sure hope so, one of my sites is heavily reliant on users downloading my .pdf files.

 

If God does not live in Colorado, I bet he visits there a lot!!

It doesn't look like it Lee. I just tested it on our 4.4.0 site and still get the permission error. It works fine if I'm logged in as an admin though.

Actually Lee it looks like it may have but just wasn't really documented well. I just stumbled across this post http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/ForumsDotNetNuke/tabid/795/forumid/18/threadid/56640/scope/posts/Default.aspx and it looks like you now have to set the security for the directories via the File Manager as well as making sure the .NET process  has the proper permissions. It's a good idea and I agree with it but it wasn't very widely broadcast that I've seen and with it only seeming to affect a few filetypes I would've never thought to look there.
