I am using Godaddy hosting and they installed (automagically) DNN for me about two weeks ago.

Everything is working fine - but I can't get the News Feed module to work.

I have added the module and I am trying to add one of these feeds:
http://www.google.com/search?q=national+homeless+news&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&safe=active
or
http://news.search.yahoo.com/news/rss?p=%2Bdallas+%2Bhomeless&ei=UTF-8&vm=r

This is the message that is returned by the module:
News Feed Is Not Available At This Time. Error message:Request for the permission of type 'System.Net.WebPermission, System, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089' failed.

When I open the Event Viewer I see:

Any ideas?

Even if I try it with a different feed (http://www.dotnetnuke.com/About/NewsRoom/tabid/703/moduleid/1344/RSS.aspx) it doesn't work.

I've had the exact same problem for months... and except for Mitch... I've been ignored in these forums (as well as a lot of other people wiwth the same issue.)  Apparently, the Project Lead, Peter Donker,  can't take the time to acknowledge any of us regardless of the source of the problem, so thank you very much for your reply, Mitch.

The host for several of my clients is GoDaddy, as well as my own site.  In my own site, I tried an experiment with IFrame.  A newsfeed will display in that but there's no capability to format the results (i.e., it looks the same as if you pasted the feed link in your browser's address bar).. 

I inserted code for a Spring Widget into a text/html module.  It can get a news feed just fine, and while it looks cool you're stuck with their formatting.  Neither is a good solution.

I'm not disputing what you say, Mitch (as I have received inconsistent replies from GoDaddy) , but it would seem that if GoDaddy has a proxy not allowing websites to communicate outside of theri network then my experiments with IFrame and SpringWidgets wouldn't have worked either.
