I just upgrade Survey module from 4.1.10 to 4.5.0 on localhost DNN 4.3.5 Instalation.

Module looks fine but I can't see module settings ??? When click on Settings - admin page shows but no module at all ? Has anyone experienced this, and what is workaround ?

Since nobody answered, I investigated a bit and find out this:

Error in log file was described as:

" . . . C:\DNN435\DesktopModules\Survey\Settings.ascx.vb(47): error BC30456: 'AJAX' is not a member of 'Framework'. at System.Web.Compilation.AssemblyBuilder.Compile( . .  ."

so I opened Settings.ascx.vb file and comented out this:

"  Protected Sub Page_Load(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Me.Load
          If DotNetNuke.Framework.AJAX.IsInstalled Then
               DotNetNuke.Framework.AJAX.RegisterScriptManager()
               DotNetNuke.Framework.AJAX.RegisterPostBackControl(lnkExport)
          End If
     End Sub

"

And  . . .   Voila  ! - Settings page shows up shining !

Edit: The survey module is written to run against DNN 4.5.1 or greater (afaik) which would include the proper ajax framework files to work. If you're running against an older DNN version you would have to removed those lines. Though that might cause other issues.

Thank you Chris (I appreciate all help in sorting these problems out). I gave Scott the wrong minimum version on the download page. I will send him an email to update it.

Thanks for your answer Cris Hammond but on Downloads page next to Survy 4.05.00 file in "Min DNN Version" column there is written 4.3.5  !?

Does this means that 4.3.5 is minimum version or is this April 1st joke ?

Anyway it works fine for me (after applying above mentioned trick) on dnn 4.3.5. !
