I received the following errors when I tried to install the survey module 04.50.00:

Failure     ExceptionSystem.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.Common.Utilities.Config.AddCodeSubDirectory(String name) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.ResourceInstaller.PaDnnInstallerBase.CreateModuleFile(PaFile File, PaFolder Folder) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.ResourceInstaller.PaDnnInstallerBase.CreateFiles(PaFolder Folder) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.ResourceInstaller.PaDnnInstallerBase.Install(PaFolderCollection folders) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.ResourceInstaller.PaInstaller.Install()

This is the first time I've tried to install it and I used the updated install zip instead of installing the one that came with the original dnn install -- apparently that was the wrong thing to do?

Now the Survey module is not listed under Installed or Available modules.  Any idea how to uninstall and then reinstall?

Thanks, Joan

It is ok to install the latest version rather than the version that came with DNN. I can't imagine what went wrong. What version of DNN are you using?

Are you able to install ANY other modules?

Can you try to install the Survey module again and if you get an error, go to Admin/Event Viewer and post any errors in red (you have to click on each red bar to see the details)

Yes, I can install other modules.  I had upgraded DNN to 04.09.00, and then I upgraded all the modules that had newer versions.  The only one that caused an error was the survey module.  The only difference is that for all modules except survey, I installed them from the "Available Modules" (version from my original installation) and then upgraded them by pointing to the newer zip file.  The Survey module I used the upgraded zip file instead of first installing the one that came with the original install.

Yes, I did try to install it a second time.  I got the error:

StartJob     Start Sql execution: 03.03.00.SqlDataProvider file
Failure     SQL Execution resulted in following Exceptions: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Column names in each table must be
unique. Column name 'IsCorrect' in table 'dbo.SurveyOptions' is specified more than once. at

IsCorrect bit NOT NULL CONSTRAINT DF_SurveyOptions_IsCorrect DEFAULT 0
EndJob     End Sql execution: 03.03.00.SqlDataProvider file

There are no errors in the Event Log after I tried to install it.  There's nothing in the Event Log referring to the Survey module at all.  All others have an entry "Install Module: xxx".

Any way to backdoor it and delete any tables / records in the db and try to install again?
