Any ideas on this? This module appears to be broken. Looks like I might need to start looking at a commercial product for this? Any suggestions?

URL Master might indeed be interfering, not sure.  from the URL it looks like you have DNN installed in the "root" of your web server, is that correct?

the URL you pasted is

/DesktopModules/Repository/MakeThumbnail.aspx?tabid=326&id=139&mid=909&w=100

first this I would try is open my browser, enter the URL for the root DNN site and append that image URL to see if the image comes back and is displayed.

For example: if my DNN site's root url was http://www.gooddogs.com, I would enter the following address in my browser and I would hope to see the image displayed.

http://www.gooddogs.com/DesktopModules/Repository/MakeThumbnail.aspx?tabid=326&id=139&mid=909&w=100

If the image is displayed, then the problem is most likely something outside the module interfering with the URL (like URL Master).  If the image is not displayed, you might get back an error that might help you understand why the image is not displaying.

In the image URL, the id parameter, in your case 139, is the id of the repository item.  Use SQL Managements studio of Visual Studio's Server explorer to connect to the database and look at the grmRepositoryObjects table for the one with an id of 139 and check the image column to make sure it's pointing to an image that exists on your server.

Thanks for replying Steve.

Actually, the complete URL does include the domain name. When I posted this, I just copied the HTML from the page source. Maybe this is the issue?

The actual page is here if you want to check it out.
http://www.helpmasterpro.com/Community/HelpMaster-custom-reports-swap-shop.aspx

From here you'll be able to see the missing images. When you click on one, you'll get a message like this.

The image "http://www.helpmasterpro.com/desktopmodules/repository/makethumbnail.aspx?tabid=326&id=139&mid=909" cannot be displayed because it contains errors.

The [grmRepositoryObjects].Image field contains the name of an image. It doesn't contain any path information though - is this correct? It's just the name of a file.

eg.
DatabaseAnalysisReportSample.e7cdacb3-1682-4916-88cc-51c91c568b72.png

I've verified using FTP that this file does exist in a folder called "/Portals/2/Repository/ReportSwapShop_Approved"

When I've logged in as host, I've set the folder for approved files to this folder location.

When using the repository, the file download works for files in this location, but the image doesn't - even though I can see both in this folder.

Thanks for your assistance.

Best regards,
Rod
