HiHi,

I am totally new to DNN. >.< After a few days of research and hard work i have finally install 4.4.0 DNN in my pc with OS XP service pack2 and SQL 2000. Now i am facing another problem and hope that i can get the solutions here.

The problem occur in both repository and document module. I upload the file with no problem, the file can browse well in my virtual directory. But the problem is when i download the file, it cant work.

E.g: I upload the txt file with content "abcde", i can browse the txt file well in my virtual directory. But the problem comes out when i download throught my portal. The content become like this

" <html>
    <head>
        <title>Server cannot append header after H
"

For jpg file,the case is the same, i upload the file and it can be use as logo and view in the virtual directory, but when i try to download it throught portal, it was stucked!

Am i missing any step during install or modify the module??

I will be very appreciate to get any respond here ^.^ for those who share the same problem or any advise ^.^

Thanks A Millions

I haven't seen that error before. Are you using your own template or one of the default ones?

 I am using the default one.

You've never seen this problem before? >.<''

I think the problem is because of the translation of MIME...

Because whatever txt file that i upload, the content become like this

<html>
    <head>
        <title>Server cannot append header after H

Any idea? Is there anything else to be change in the IIS setting ?

It's possible it's a MIME problem but I've never had to set any of the MIME types on my development system that runs on XP. For some file extensions I did on Server 2003 but that was only so that Firefox would recognize them. I'll try to test it tomorrow on my 4.4 install at work to see if I can recreate it but as of this point I've got no problems with any of my productions sites that run on 4.4.0.

Thanks, mikeh.

Hope to get good news from you soon

For additional infomation,just now i try to update the same txt file with different encoding by using repository module. As i mention previously, all of them can be view by browser and virtual directory. But after i download them from the portal...............

The result for encoding ANSI:

<html>
    <head>
        <title>Cannot redirect after H

The result for encoding utf-8:

<html>
    <head>
        <title>Cannot redirect after HTTP headers have been sent.</title>
        <style>

The result for encoding unicode:
<html>
    <head>
        <title>Cannot redirect after HTTP headers have been sent.</title>
        <style>
         body {font-family:"Verdana";font-weight:normal;font-size: .7em;

And it is stucked again when download doc file >.<''

Hope this information is useful for you to testing.
