I'm wondering if I have the wrong notion of what the import content option does.  I am trying to take some content that resided in an old SQL table and bring it into an XML/XSL module.    Long story short, I wrote some code to export the SQL content into an XML file, which I used the file manager to upload to my instance of DNN. 

However, when I click on Import Content, then select the folder where my XML file is, it does not appear in the drop down of available files. 

Is there another step that I need to take with the XML export to get it into a format DNN will recognize?  Is there a better way to accomplish what I'm trying to do?

Any suggestions would be most appreciated!

Import/Export of a module is the DotNetNuke interface to save/load the module data and configuration from/to a single file. It is mostly used to copy a module to a second page or to export a portal template. XML/XSL Module is reporting only. So Import/Export handles only its configuration.

You can upload your XML file to your portal and run XSL based queries and transformations againt it, though.
