Is anyone else having a problem with the notification option on these forums? I've been replying to various post over the past month and always have notification checked but I don't seem to be notified when a user posts a reply. Am I missing a setting somewhere? I checked and my email address is valid and I don't see anything obvious under the forum settings dialog.

I'll check notification on this thread and see what happens. Someone please reply. Maybe it's not working only on posts I don't create myself. Weird.

Using Forum version 04.04.03 on my site and having the same problem - no notification sent if only NOTIFY checkbox is marked.   I do, however  receive notifications if I subscribe to a particular discussion under My Settings.  It would be nice to know how to fix this indeed.

Ya, i made a mistake and the only notifications that work are at the forum level (via My Settings). In fact, subscribing to a thread breaks the add/edit post. I have all of it fixed in 4.4.4, which i just blogged about but should hit release tracker this week.

I should've started here first. :)  Thanks, Chris, for the information on notifications not working. Looking forward to the next version.

Question: I created a response (as Admin) to a test user who joined a single forum (in repsonse to notifications not working) and received two emails to the test account. I tested this several times. Same response. Have any ideas why the duplicates?

Question: When Admin edits a user's post, I noticed it does not generate an email to either Admin or User. Is there a setting for this?

Otherwise, everything is working great. Thanks for all the work -- and responses.
