Experimenting with the forum module, I found that I am always required to enter something in the Emailed response field in order to be able to delete a post. Is there a way how to turn off this necessity?

No. this cannot be turned off. In the next version it is more automated but I still don't see a reason why you wouldn't want to be able to audit this.

E.g. for the forum testing purposes, when adding and deleting various posts, I would find it useful to be able to turn off the necessity to input some characters in the Response field and send an e-mail when deleting a post...
