New DNN 5.5 install using Automatic Wizard.
Installed jp-JN Language pack on top of default us-EN and enabled it.
On the default Home page created by the auto wizard I can select the Japanize flag and language changes from English to Japanize on any localized text. However all links on the page use the en-US syntax instead of the ja-JP ie. http://localhost:60678/newssite/Home/... instead of http://localhost:60678/newssite/Home/.... I'm guessing the navigateUrl function in 5.5 is not correctly persisting the language after it is selected.

this is a known issue. There is currently a workaround by using Advanced Control Panel, you may download for free from www.oliverhine.com  (see here for details)

Thanks Sebastian your always a wealth of knowledge. I'd prefer not to install a third party control panel though it does look good. You said this is a known issue is there already a bug report, has a fix been slotted on a release and is there a release date?

David, it has already been reported and will be fixed in 5.5.1, 5..6.0 or a subsequent release. PS: see what other users say about Advanced Control Panel: http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Forums/tabid/795/forumid/112/threadid/384033/scope/posts/Default.aspx
