Make sure you export from the Help part of the module not the Category part.  And follow this

Already set things in Help Settings.  But encountered the same error when trying to export from the Help part of the module.

Please help.

I know this post is really old, but I figured out how to make it work so I thought I'd take a second and reply for anyone else who might be having this issue still.  You must first go into Settings and then select Help Module Settings.  Within this section you need to first update the "Upload XML" with the path to the xml file you plan to import.  Click Update.  Then you can go back to the Help module and import that same file.  It will then import successfully.  Odd way to do it, but  it works.
