I see a lot of posts where people are saying that AD needs this or that.  Why don't you just add all of your requests to this thread.  I am going to crack the top on the AD code again in a week or two and maybe I can knock out some of your wants.

ok it's a great idea.

So i started with the auto implementation of the display name from the active directory : Firstname + Lastr name

An another things would be great : a synchronisation with the active directory: if a field is whanged on the AD, the modification is replicated on DNN User base ...

Thanks

Auto populate the DB with the registered userid and the mail domain specified in the Admin Authentication settings.
I have to edit each record manually to get an email address and this seems like it could be a simple fix.

I still don't know whether or not the AD integration does this or not, but if it doesn't, it would be very useful for it to remove people from groups in DNN when they are no longer in the group in AD.

stuart,

great news!  here are a couple suggestions:

1) first and foremost, i'd love for DNN to NOT store the user's AD password in the DNN database.  why does it currently do that?  it's a big security concern for us.  it would also ensure that authentication would work properly even after a user's AD/network password changes.

2) synch roles everytime a user logs in.  i realize it's a slight performance hit but it creates a management nightmare when it only synchs the very first time a user logs in.

thanks!

kevin
