This does not appear to be a DNN Gallery module related error but rather one related to the core membership provider. Please answer the following:

1. Is your site a new install - if so, what DNN framework version?

2. Has your site been upgraded - if so, from what DNN framework version to what version?

3. Are you having other problems with the site - other error messages or errors logged in the event viewer?

4. Have you tried installing any other modules - if so do you receive a similar error?

Did you ever resolve this issue? I got the same error that was fixed by recycling the application pool.

Thanks

I think this error may have been caused due to a caching problem where my /portals/0/cache/modules was not being purged (DNN 5.2.3 bug) and there was old information in cache.

Hello, I am getting this error at run-time (not during installations) with dnn 5.4.1. I have observed cache deletion errors in the log as well. Is there a fix and/or what can I do? Thanks, Franco
