I understand that this is a known bug in the module (editing a blog entry changes the posting date from the original to the current date and time, and attempt to manually set the date/time doesn't post).

Just wondering if anyone smarter than me has come up with a patch or work-around yet?

Hi Michael,

You can remove this *bad* behaviour by modifying the Blog_UpdateEntry stored procedure. In the Update statement, replace the value GetUTCDate() with @AddedDate.

The only problem with this is that depending on your set-up the TIME part will not be accurate (but the DATE will be correct).

We are working on overhauling the TIMEZONE routines that are causing this problem, and are planning a release soon.

Instead of changing the line from GetUTCDate() to @AddedDate, why not just comment it out?  As there is already a value in this field, there is no need to update it if it is not being changed.

Okay, that would still be a big improvement, but tell me what file I'm looking in for the items??  I did a text search of the whole installation and could not find Blog_UpdateEntry or GetUTCDate().

This is a stored procedure in the database. You will be looking for Blog_UpdateEntry.
