Hi Juan Carlos,

The DNN Blog module only implements Trackback and many of the modern blogging platforms have eliminated Trackback due to the ease of abusing the Trackback infrastructure.  As you probably already know, Trackback is implemented using HTTP POST and it's a one-way call.

Because of the limitations of Trackback, Pingback was created.  Pingback is two-way and it operates over XML-RPC.  Your blog sends a ping to your friend's blog saying that you've linked to a blog entry of his/hers in your post.  His/her blog will turn around and request the page, parse it looking for the link and only if the link exists will your ping be acknowledge.

If you want both Trackback and Pingback functionality, then I recommend that you try using metaPost.  You can get more information in the link below.  When metaPost is properly configured, you see a Ping dropdown at the bottom of the page which will allow you to specify if you want to allow automatic pingbacks.  When set to allow, metaPost will read through the entries that you publish and attempt to discover both Trackbacks and Pingbacks.

Sure,

I would recommend following the steps I outlined in this post to configure the blog module to show the entire entry in the main blog view.  You can also participate in the support forums at http://dnn.itcrossing.com for metaPost related support.

Thanks,

Is it posible to have it working just with the pingback funcionality to avoid using trackback? or it´s necesary to have both working.

Thanks again, for any help.
