Howdy,

Just uploaded a DNN Site Versoin 4.9 and created a new blog module. I like for the system to generate a basic summary of whatever is typed however it is not displaying the summary at all. Anyone have any idea why this could be happening?

Thanks,
Ddraig

Dario posted a fix for this recently, it's because the FCK Editor is putting "<p>&#160;</p>" in the summary field and you need to set

FCKConfig.FillEmptyBlocks    = false ;

This setting can be found in:

  1. One here: [dnnroot]\Providers\HtmlEditorProviders\Fck\FCKeditor\fckconfig.js
  2. One here: [dnnroot]\Providers\HtmlEditorProviders\Fck\Custom\fckconfig.js
  3. And the last here: [dnnroot]\Providers\HtmlEditorProviders\Fck\FCKeditor\editor\_source\internals\fckconfig.js

but I only found it in the first two places .

Thanks Barry!

I've just edited the config files but for what ever reason it does not appear to be making the change. Do I need to restart my services?

Try clearing your browser cache thoroughly.

Hi Ddraing,

also try to edit your previous entry. Maybe some unwanted tags have been left in the description field. Switch the FCK editor to Source and delete everything, save your changes to the entry and refresh your browser.

Best regards,
Dario Rossa
