I'm having the same problem. I've updated all the instances of FCKConfig.FillEmptyBlocks to 'false'. As with most other users, I only found two occurences, not three as described.

I have:

 • refreshed the page
 • restarted the site
 • cleared the cache, and tried various browsers (Chrome, Opera, IE)
 • verified that the .js files have been updated on the site

None of these seem to help resolve the problem.

If I view source on a new entry's Summary, I still see:

I can delete this in Source view and I then get the proper summary. But I cannot get the proper behavior without doing this. Any other ideas would be appreciated.

Hi Larry,

on all the installs I have, the fix solved the issue. I wonder if in your case this doesn't work because the settings are overridden by customized files for the specific FCK editor instance. You may find a solution directly on the FCK editor website or on the FCK editor provider support forums.

Best regards,
Dario Rossa
