Uninstalling a Module

How to uninstall a module from all sites in this DotNetNuke installation. Once deleted, all instances of the module on the portal will also be deleted. All configurations of the module and content within the module are also deleted.

Tip: If you do not wish to lose all this data, consider setting the module as premium, creating a site template, or exporting the module content.

  1. Navigate to Host > Module Definitions.
  2. Mouse over the Edit Edit.gif button beside the required module.
  3. At Delete Files? 
    1. Check Check.gif the check box if you wish to permanently delete all files associated with this module in the DesktopModules folder.
    2. Uncheck Uncheck.gif the check box uninstall the module but leave the files inside the DesktopModules folder. 
  4. Click the Uninstall link. A message reading "Are You Sure You Wish To Delete This Item" will be displayed.
  5. Click the OK button to confirm the deletion of the module.
