"Specific Things" do not respond

Hello expert people,

When i copy and paste this code in the TEXT/HTML module and click the LOOK IT UP button it does not work, please take a look :

<table id=dictionarybox cellspacing=0 cellpadding=3 style="border:1px solid #6699FF; font-family:;width:230px;background-color:#FFFFFF;color:#000000">

<tr><td align=right>Look in:</td><td colspan=2 style="font-size:8pt;text-align:left" id="boxsource_td"><style>#boxsource_td A {color:#000000;text-decoration:none}</style>
<!--[if IE]><style>#boxsource_td INPUT {height:12pt}
.tablediv {
 text-align: center;
}
#signup a {
 text-decoration: none;
 color: #FFFFFF;
}
#signup a:hover {
 text-decoration: underline;
 color: #FFFFFF;
}
.style7 {
 font-weight: normal;
}
</style><![endif]-->

<td align=right><input type=submit name=submit value="Look it up"></td></tr></table>

This code is for dictionary service that looks for the meaning of the word you type by opening in a new page and searching for the meaning. It used to work when I pasted the code in my webpage when I designed it in Microsoft Web Design program. Could you please tell me why it did not work here? and how to make it work ?

Thank you

P.S. I am not a developer, so I hope you explain things in simple way :)

Re: "Specific Things" do not respond

I assume, the form is not complete, however Text/HTML cannot include forms. I suggest to display the form inside an IFrame instead.

Re: "Specific Things" do not respond

Thank you Sebastian.

It really did work, but I think it is little hard as I need to upload an HTML file to my website that contains this code, and then use external URL as a source for the IFrame. Is there an easier way ??

Thank you again.

Re: "Specific Things" do not respond

sorry, mshair, your need for a form is not a common use case for the Text/HTML module, maybe one of the available forms modules (like free Helferlein forms from  www.helferlein.com) may suit your needs.
