The Events team has moved all DNN Events source components to CodePlex, starting with the Events release 05.00.03.

We also started with user documentation, using the CodePlex documentation Wiki.

The release tracking process took a lot of time, and we were awaiting a formally release module much earlier. Nevertheless, it is finally available for download as a formal release of the Events module.

The objective of this Events release is to fix all known bugs and improve performance and table structure of the Events module. Upgrading an existing Events module to this version is recommended.

This new release covers 43 issues. Events 05.00.03 will work for any DNN version 4.7.0 and up.

Creating the MSDN style help files for DNN 5.1.2 did involve some work. I could not easily reuse my Sandcastle project: too many changes in projects and solution structure of the DNN source. Nevertheless:I did it again and extracted information from the source code comments of the core of DNN version 5.1.2 into various formats, most notably resulting in a MSDN style help file.

We (the Events project team) are filling in a need: the latest version of Events (05.00.02) has reached the 3.000 download mark today, only 5 weeks after it's release to CodePlex.

The objective of Events release 05.00.01 is:

• flexibility in the display and design (templating, themes),
• easier distribution of events data via a flexible RSSFeed
• a major change in the data and table structure as well, to enable enhancements now and in the future.

The Events project team has submtted the Events module, version 05.00.01 RC2 to the DNN release tracker.

The Events team has made Release Candidate 3 of DNN Events 04.01.0x available to the public.
